Founded in 2011 by Jane and Adrian, Society set out to be a beautiful and friendly coffee shop serving the kind of coffee, Speciality Coffee, that was then pretty hard to find. Their unwavering passion for genuine hospitality has meant that the Society team is as well known for their incredible care as for their knowledge on the world-class coffees on offer in each of their six shops across the south west.

The coffees we serve are carefully sourced to ensure we are supporting farms that work sustainably and with an exemplary reputation for treating their staff fairly. Fortunately, these kinds of coffee farmers tend to have a high regard for everything, ensuring that we have a beautiful array of stunning coffees from around the world to bring to our customers. Everything else we serve is sourced locally and we are careful to support our fellow independents every step of the way.

At the heart of the operation is a very genuine desire to give those around us the best possible coffee experience. Our highly trained and passionate team takes huge pride in creating every moment. Starting at a very warm welcome into a carefully-curated shop to a delicious cup of coffee enjoyed in a happy inclusive environment.
